STEPN Celebrates Its First Anniversary
If we’re in the middle of a bear market, don’t mention this to STEPN. The move-to-earn company which first appeared at the height of the NFT boom just keeps growing. STEPN, which allows users to purchase NFT sneakers, and then earn in-game currency by walking and running now has over 4.7 million registered users in over 200 countries, oftening hitting 1 million concurrent active users daily. Users can use in-game currency to improve their sneaker attributes and buy new sneakers. So far STEPN has raised over $5 million from investors and implemented a new anti-cheat system to create a fair system for users.
Channel Tres x omgkirby Drop Music NFTs On OpenSea
Anonymous music artist omgkirby has teamed up with Chanel Tres and OpenSea to launch a generative music NFT collection. The collection will feature 5,550 generatively-created songs from Channel Tres. The collection, which is available now on OpenSea offers unique privileges to NFT owners. Unlike other music NFTs, owners will receive full publishing and ownership rights to each song. Generative music is made from a mix of both human and machine, mixing keys, tempos and arrangements together.
Cool Cats NFT Get a New CEO
Cool Cats, one of the most popular and established NFT collections, is getting a new CEO Stephen Teglas. It’s been a huge week for Cool Cats, first with the release of the Cool Cats Comic book as well as a highly anticipated collaboration with Habbo Hotel. Teglas brings a prestigious resume to the company, with experience working for Disney, Warner Bros and RECUR. The business veteran will bring decades of high-level industry experience to the outfit, and looks to be an interesting addition for the project going forward.
