NEWS 1ď¸âŁ: MoMA selling classic masterpieces by Renoir and Picasso to fund digital art collection
The prestigious Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) is selling 29 contemporary art pieces from many notable artists such as; Francis Bacon, Pablo Picasso, Pierre-Auguste Renoir and Joan Miro. It is believed that at auction the pieces will fetch upwards of $70 million.
The move is meant to help fund the museumâs burgeoning digital art collection. âWeâre growing our digital audience, not losing any, so we realize we need to increase our capacity off-site and online,â stated Glenn Lowrey, MoMa director. Which famous and historical NFT will they add to their collections? Beeple, CryptoPunks, BAYC?

NEWS 2ď¸âŁ: Social media darling Goblintown NFT down 90% from ATH
Goblin-town, the free-to-mint Ethereum PFP project that was all the trend on social media when it was released this May, is already down significantly from its all time high and struggling to maintain market momentum.
The project gained popularity for its bold market approach offering âNo roadmap. No Discord. No utility. CC0.â However, releasing during a bear market without any social media presence outside of their website, may be hampering NFT buyersâ enthusiasm. Will Goblintown recover with the next bull market NFT cycle, or is it a flash in the pan NFT pop and drop?

NEWS 3ď¸âŁ: ELLE DĂŠcoration France partners with SuperRare for D3SIGN CAPSULE, an NFT exhibition for architects and designers
ELLE DĂŠcoration France, the iconic design and architecture magazine is entering the NFT space. Partnered with SuperRare, the magazine commissioned 16 artists to bring their digital visions to life during Paris Fashion Week.
The exhibition, D3SIGN CAPSULE, will run from the 10th to 18th of September and feature unique NFT exhibits that look to reimagine the future of architecture and design. Some designers will also have a physical representation of their design to go alongside their NFT, all of which will be auctioned off on an exclusive SuperRare Space, an independent gallery on SuperRare that promotes and sells artworks.
